The Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon

Non-profit Benefactor to Announce an Auxiliary Funding Campaign of One hundred thousand dollars.

Los Angeles, Aug. 8, 2008 - The MDA is proud to partner with Unique Image, Inc. to announce the first ever online auction in conjunction with the National Telethon. Unique Image, Inc. has committed to a goal to raise One hundred thousand dollars for MDA, and is hosting the e-auction. “Shop with a Purpose” by logging on to www.cmarket.com to bid on unique items, experiences and vacations – and 100% of the money raised goes directly to the MDA.

“Our companywide mission of guaranteeing that the empowerment of the philanthropic sector is the core of everything Unique Image delivers drives this campaign to raise one hundred thousand dollars as auxiliary funding source,” says Wafa Kanan, President of Unique Image Inc. “We will kick off the campaign from August 11th with public service announcements on Entercom and Clear Channel radio stations throughout the San Francisco market.”

In conjunction with The Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, the MDA will be honoring Wafa Kanan with the “Award of Distinction.” This award is presented to those for their incredible philanthropic efforts and contributions to the community.

The Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon is the single most important fundraising event of the year for MDA. Funds raised help the Association carry on its fight against more than 40 neuromuscular diseases. The Telethon is a dynamic day of fundraising as well as
entertainment, featuring many of the nation’s biggest stars who have come together to play a vital role and provide an amazing experience for viewers and donors.
