Tektronix Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer

Bangalore, India., October 4, 2008 - Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, announced that its RSA3000B Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer series has been short-listed as a finalist in the Design & Test Product of the Year Category of the Elektra 08 Awards, organized by Electronics Weekly.

Launched in February 2008, the RSA3000B Series Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer with DPX™ waveform image processor technology provides a unique live RF view of the spectrum, enabling an unprecedented RF signal discovery capability for a broad range of digital RF test applications including RFID, radio communications, and spectrum management. DPX transforms volumes of real-time data and produces a live RF spectrum display that reveals previously unseen RF signals and signal anomalies.

Now in their sixth year, the Elektra Awards bring together the whole electronics industry across Europe to celebrate and recognize the achievements of individuals and companies. The awards are designed to promote best practices in key areas including customer care, sales growth, and innovation and employee motivation. The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Monday 10th November 2008 in Munich.

The Design and Test Product of the Year Category was introduced last year to recognize the most innovative design or test system launched within the previous 12 months. In 2006, Tektronix received a Product of the Year Elektra award for its DPO4000 Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope.

Each of the 14 categories in the Elektra 08 Awards will be judged by its own panel which consists of four industry experts and a representative from the category sponsor. The judges are chosen for their industry expertise, and their ability to differentiate the truly outstanding products.
