Sioux City, Iowa (PRWEB) September 3, 2008 – RiverzEdge Church is offering a free Bread of Stone (BOS) concert Saturday, September 6, at the Hillcrest Center, across from the Floyd Monument, 2500 Glenn Ave, Suite 65, in Sioux City, IA. Theater XII, the church’s praise and worship band, will be opening the evening at 7:00 pm. Bread of Stone, based out of Sergeant Bluff, IA, features one of RiverzEdge’s own, Tim Barnes. In addition to their extensive touring schedule they have had the privilege of sharing the stage with artists such as Toby Mac, Jars of Clay, and Chris Tomlin. BOS grips audiences everywhere with electrifying performances as they expand their boundaries.

Our story began with 2 men and a vision. Joe and Mick began to dream about a different kind of church. Both of them have various church backgrounds and experiences, but one of the things that they noticed about Siouxland is that it seemed to be that the existing churches were stuck in a time warp….
On the outside it was 2003, but on the inside it was as if you traveled back in time 100 years! The churches were full of people way older than us, sitting in uncomfortable rooms called “sanctuaries” on uncomfortable seats called “pews”, listening to music that most people under 50 can’t relate to and a sermon that doesn’t seem to have relevance to life today. They began to think that there should be a church for younger people who want to learn about God and grow spiritually, but don’t want to jump through a bunch of religious hoops to get there. www.edgechurch.tv
